OPUSPOD

Co-work space/cafe + lounge app for creative entrepreneurs

Opuspod is an exclusive co-work space / cafe + lounge for creative entrepreneurs. Members will get to enjoy the many perks offered by Opuspod. Justine came up with the name “Opuspod” by combining the Latin word “opus” meaning “work” and “pod” which is meant to represent an individual or groups of people in their work spaces.

UX Process

Strategy

To begin, Justine conducted research into other co-work spaces and cafe apps in order to best understand what customers would expect in this unique environment. Considering Opuspod provides more than most co-work spaces she wanted to make the app as simple and intuitive as possible.

As part of the process in designing the app Justine did an open card sort to figure out the top level and secondary category structure. Once she established those categories she created the information architecture to define the hierarchy for the app.

Wireframes

Justine created low-fidelity wireframes for the Opuspod mobile app. The app would enable users to secure a space, book meetings, sign up for art classes, and order food/drinks from the Opuspod Cafe + Lounge.

All categories that would be used more frequently were exposed within the bottom tab bar. The hamburger menu contains secondary information and acts as a courtesy nav for the following pages: About, Add-Ons, Contact, and Settings.
